A Welcome from Our Headteacher
Welcome to St Barnabas. We are proud to be an inclusive and deeply caring Church of England primary school in the heart of Erdington. As part of the Fioretti Trust, we are committed to providing a nurturing, values-led education that enables every child to develop their unique gifts, develop confidence, and flourish academically, spiritually, and personally.
We are a two-form entry school with a strong Christian foundation, an enriching curriculum, and a joyful school culture. Everything we do is rooted in our deeply held vision:
"Through the hope Jesus inspires, we encourage one another and build each other up to be our best selves."
(Inspired by Acts 4:36 and 1 Thessalonians 5:11)
In our most recent SIAMS inspection (January 2025), we were praised for living out our vision with transformational impact:
"The Christian vision is clearly understood and lived out across the school community. The vision permeates the decisions and actions of pupils and adults. This results in a transformational effect… pupils and adults flourish together in hope."
— SIAMS, 2025
We are incredibly proud of our children, our dedicated staff, and the rich partnerships we hold with our local church and community. Whether it’s through whole-class flute lessons, Forest School, after-school clubs, or times of spiritual reflection, pupils at St Barnabas are supported to discover who they are and become all they were created to be.
We believe that children and adults achieve more when they feel happy, secure and valued. We warmly welcome you to visit our school, meet our wonderful pupils and staff, and hear the positive things they have to say about what makes our school family so special.
