If you’re a parent/carer of a child a St Barnabas CofE Primary School, even a family member or a member of staff, then you’re a member of the PTFA.
The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) of St Barnabas CofE Primary School has been a vital and integral part of the school community for many years. All parents/carers and members of the school community can get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time spare, when you join our school you are automatically members of the Association.
What are the PTFA?
St Barnabas CofE Primary School PTFA exists to provide closer links between school and home, and aims to be exceptional way of bringing staff, parents/carers, members of the community and friends together socially in support of the school – everybody working towards a common goal.
As a school we are very fortunate that in the time the PTFA has been around they have raised thousands of pounds which have been spent on improving resources and equipment to expand and enrich all of our children’s education, and more importantly to enhance our children’s experience of school life.
The PTFA is very conscious of the ethos and morals of our school, and we try very hard to respect this. Not all of our events are run as fundraisers. Our children’s discos and lolly afternoons are run with the aim of giving the children a good time and as a way of thanking families for their continued support for the PTFA. Because of that our PTFA is about so much more than just fundraising.
