At St Barnabas, our vision is everyone flourishing through being their best selves. We recognise that people can not flourish is they are feeling unsafe or worried especially about bullying. We understand that bullying can happen so it is important to have a shared understanding and language of what bullying is and what we can do if it does happen. One of our school rules is respect - this helps children understand how they should think about and treat others which helps prevent bullying.
Pupils have trusted adults in school who they can go to and speak about friendship difficulties or potential bullying. Senior leaders are alerted to incidents of bullying concerns. These are investigated, appropriate action taken and then monitoring insures these incidents do not reoccur.
